The performance of any organization depends on many external and internal factors. The presence of constraints may reduce farmer organizations’ performance and management efficiency like in any other functioning bodies. The efficiency and effectiveness of the farmer producer organizations’ operational systems can be improved by delineating the constraints and formulating appropriate strategies to overcome them. The present study was conducted to identify the various limitations of a farmers’ organization, ‘Farms Produce Promotion Society (FAPRO)’ functioning in Punjab. The data were collected from the ten officials and 90 farmer members of the organization to identify the operational and management constraints. The results showed that technical constraint, i.e., lack of automation, was the most severe organizational constraint for FAPRO. Similarly, the lack of a fair price policy and crop insurance coverages for the turmeric crops was another major limitation. FAPRO and farmer members also faced difficulties with meeting the export standards for the turmeric crops.
