Abstract

KRISHI MAHOTSAV a mega mass contact multimedia delivery based programme was organized by government of Madhya Pradesh regularly for technological backstopping of farmers since 2014 to 2017 once a year. This programme offers a wide range of solutions of many agricultural challenges faced by farming community as a common or individually. It was seen as an emerging field focusing on the enhancement of agricultural and rural development through improved information and communication processes at grass root level through panchayat level meetings and sangosthies. The major focus was on agricultural technological transformation and backstopping of the farmers. The LED display was used to show agricultural practices, crop cultivation, post harvest management, organic farming, dairying and forestry based movies for better understanding of farmers based on ‘learning by doing and seeing is believing’ principle of extension.
