Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc worldwide and India continues to be in the line of fire. With this context a study was conducted to know the coping strategies adopted by farm women to mitigate this problem. Random sampling method was used in selecting 400 farm women from four villages of Udaipur district. The information were analyzed in the context of awareness of farm women regarding corona virus and lockdown, changes in food consumption pattern, food for immunity boosting and perceived constraints by the farm women during the lockdown period. The study indicates that the farm women managed the household and farm activities very effectively along with their family and with the help of the government and some organizations during the lockdown period. Hence, they need to be supported to develop their soft skills particularly to deal with their psychological, mental and emotional aspects to cope up emergency situations smoothly.
