The present study was an attempt to find out constraints faced in production and marketing by guava growers in the Amritsar district of Punjab, conducted during 2019-20. A total sample of 60 guava growers was selected based on a purposive cum random sampling technique. The constraints were measured on a pretested interview schedule on preselected constraints and open-ended questions. Results revealed that the significant production related problems were premature fruit drop (98.33%), the short shelf life of guava fruit (96.66%) and lack of technical knowledge about the cultivation practices (93.33%). In addition to this, problems faced by guava growers in the marketing of guava were price fluctuation (98.33%), lack of processing plants (95.00%) and no assured market (85.00%). Results enlighten the immediate need for organizing specialized training on successful guava production and creating awareness strategies regarding the production and marketing of guava. Storage and processing facilities of the guava can help the farmers to sell their products based on the grading to fetch reasonable remunerative of their produce in a better and more organized way.
