Value chains analysis is the quantification of value added on each set of activities by the actors at different stages while products move from producer to end consumer. The study was conducted during 2019-20 in Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh using descriptive research design. The benefit-cost ratio (2.97) indicated high profitability in field pea cultivation at farmers’ level, albeit about 32 percent of sampled farmers were resorting to adoption of non-descript varieties. Four channels were documented in this region supporting the movements of field pea to consumers involving producer, village level trader, aggregator, trader, processor, commission agent, wholesaler, retailer and consumer. The producers added maximum value (Rs. 2967.00/q to Rs. 3154.65/q) followed by processors (Rs. 725/q to Rs. 1394/q) in the existing marketing channels. The channels engaged in furthering field pea as whole grain (MEI=2.92) were found to be more efficient than for split field pea (MEI=2.08). Integration of marketing functions at producer level could contribute to better marketing efficiency and maximize profit margins for producers.
