The study was carried out by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Longleng, Nagaland to know the yield gaps between improved package and practices under cluster front line demonstration (CFLD) and farmer’s practice (FP) of Soybean crop under rainfed condition of Nagaland. Cluster Front line demonstrations (CFLDs) were conducted on 164 nos. of farmer’s fields in eleven cluster covering nine numbers of villages. Yield data of demonstration and farmers practice were recorded and their yield gap, technology gap, extension gap and technology index were analyzed. Results revealed that the Soybean yield (JS 9560) was recorded 40.58 percent higher over farmer’s variety. On an average (all cluster) technology gap was recorded 2.80 q/ha, while average extension gap was recorded 2.76 q/ha. Technology index was recorded 35.27 percent. Average net return was found Rs. 26545.50/ha and Rs.15750/ha with demonstration and farmers practice respectively. Higher benefit cost ratio, production efficiency and economic efficiency were recorded in demonstration plot than the farmers practice.
