The propagation of grapevines is an important consideration in commercial viticulture. Plants differ in their response to the different propagation techniques. The success in propagation depends upon how much attention is given to the technique most suitable for a particular plant species. The use of plant growth regulators for enhancing the propagation of grapes has not been extensively studied and practiced. The experiment was conducted in RCBD with foliar application of nine treatment combinations viz., T1- Water (Control), T2- IBA @ 1000 ppm, T3- IBA @ 750 ppm, T4- Vermiwash @ 100%, T5- Vermiwash @ 75%, T6- Sea weed extract @ 100%, T7- Sea weed extract @ 75%, T8- Cow Pat Pit (CPP) @ 100%, T9- Cow Pat Pit (CPP) @ 75%, were applied on the grape cuttings. Both growth regulator i.e., IBA and natural substances were found to be effective in shoot growth of grape cuttings. However, Vermiwash @ 100% proved to be most effective in terms of average shoot length (cm), number of leaves per plant, average leaf area (cm2) and average shoot girth (cm). From the findings of present study, it is concluded that spray of Vermiwash @ 100% was found to be the best treatment for better shoot growth of grape cuttings. Therefore, application of Vermiwash @ 100% will improve the growth in grape cuttings.
