Abstract

The garage workers are highly exposed to heavy manual material handling. Due to heavy manual material handling and repetitive tasks in garage, leads to occupational health hazards among garage workers. The total sample of 75 respondents were selected randomly from three district of Uttarakhand (Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Almora) who were working in garage. For collection of experimental data, 30 per cent of the total respondents was selected and REBA and ART tools were used the result of REBA and ART revealed that almost all the postures adopted by the workers while repairing shows the medium and high level of risk exposure. The years of employment of garage workers was positively and significantly correlated with muscle pain (R=0.286) and results were obtained by using SPSS software.
