The entrepreneurial behaviour of farmers is very crucial in determining the success of farming as a sustainable livelihood. Open precision farming is a way of farming that has gained importance in recent years due to its high input efficiency and profitability. Though many studies have been done on entrepreneurial behaviour, this is a novel attempt made with reference to the open precision farmers in the Thrissur and Palakkad districts of Kerala during the year 2019. Primary data was collected and a thorough analysis of data was done by using the Entrepreneurial Behaviour Index and other statistical tools such as Kendall’s rank correlation coefficient, Kruskal — Wallis one way analysis of variance by ranks, Binary logit regression etc. and conclusions are based on the same. The majority of open precision farmers under study showed a medium level of entrepreneurial behaviour. Information seeking behaviour, self-confidence and decisionmaking ability was found to be the most important dimensions of entrepreneurial behaviour and better extension contact could help them to become above-average entrepreneurs.
