Abstract

Weather parameters like rainfall, temperature and wind are important factors to determine the success and failure of agricultural operations. These parameters manifest their influence on day to day agricultural production activities through its effect on soil, plant growth and development. The success of farmers using AAS using weather forecast for their day to day operations. The AAS following farmers showed an increased productivity of 1.92 and 3.31 quintals hectare-1 for green gram and cotton respectively. AAS farmers reduced cost of cultivation by Rs.7940/- and 6940/- in green gram and cotton respectively compared to non AAS farmers. The reduction in cost of cultivation is indirectly adding to increasing their income, their by helping in doubling farmers income.
