Abstract

The Indian agricultural marketing system has still not evolved to the next stage of advancement, which would have brought it benefits including scalability, competition, integration, and efficiency. India loses 30–35 per cent of its agricultural production as a result of inadequate management of supply chains and logistics. Between farm and fork, there are numerous points of connection, and each one has some spillage. A Market Led Extension initiative, National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) is launched for Value Chain and Supply Chain. The present study concentrated on determining the level of e-NAM provision awareness among registered stakeholders of Niwai mandi in the Tonk district and Mandawari mandi in the Dausa district of Rajasthan. The interdependence between e-NAM platform stakeholders and awareness provisions was found in the Mandawari and Niwai Agricultural produce market committee (APMC) markets. By using the correspondence analysis and cluster analysis, it was found that Niwai traders were more aware of the mobile app, schemes, and capacity building related provisions and Mandwari traders were more aware of the process relate provisions. Niwai farmers were more aware of registration related provisions and Mandawari farmers were about incentives and language-related provisions. Therefore, suitable government support programmes can help with farmer training in the implementation of the “One Nation One Market” concept which can be strengthened further by stronger public-private partnerships to encourage investments in the upgrading of the agriculture market infrastructure.
