As agriculture is becoming more and more technology intensive, technological empowerment of farmers is essential for improving its productivity, profitability, stability and sustainability. The present study was conducted in four districts of Haryana, namely Nuh, Sonipat, Gurugram and Palwal. The investigation was focused on the knowledge and adoption level of the farmers regarding improved production practices of tomato. A total sample of 160 respondents were selected and personally interviewed. The results indicated that farmers had medium knowledge (42.50%) and adoption (42.50%) level regarding recommended improved practices of tomato cultivation. further, it was inferred that, all the eleven independent variables together contributed 52.30 per cent variation in the knowledge level of the farmers about production technology of tomato cultivation.
