Exploring the effect of socioeconomic variables of dairy farmers on their attitude towards mineral mixture utilization

Abstract

The dairy industry plays a crucial role in global food production and the effective utilization of mineral mixtures is essential for maintaining the health and productivity of dairy animals. However, farmers attitudes towards the adoption of mineral mixtures can be affected by their socioeconomic background. Present study was conducted in Hisar district of Haryana on 200 dairy farmers and data collected was analyzed using appropriate statistical tools to examine the relationship between socioeconomic variables and attitudes of dairy farmer’s towards mineral mixture utilization. The findings of study revealed that majority (45.00%) of respondents had favourable attitude and positively significantly correlated to Educational qualification, Social participation, Training, Extension contact, Mass media exposure etc.The findings will provide valuable insights for stakeholders in the dairy industry to tailor their strategies and interventions accordingly, promoting the effective and widespread adoption of mineral mixtures among dairy farmers which ultimately contribute to the overall improvement and sustainability of dairy industry.
