The introduction of high yielding cultivars of various crops and the employment of intensive cultivation techniques with the use of fertilizers, pesticides, and other artificial inputs during India’s “green revolution” have resulted in a rise in agricultural production. Sustainable use of locally accessible natural resources is a key component of organic agriculture, a comprehensive food production system. The need to establish a comprehensive strategy for the promotion of organic agriculture, enlisting the cooperation of all stakeholders, environmentally friendly technology, marketing infrastructure, and financial assistance for the production of high-quality, abundant organic food. Keeping in mind the study was undertaken to assess the constraints faced by the farmers in the adoption of organic farming practices in Sirsa and Karnal district of Haryana state. Results indicated that among the physical constraints, the foremost physical constraints expressed by vast majority of the respondents was low organic production in initial stages (92.50%). Among marketing constraints, the foremost marketing constraints expressed by most of the respondents was non availability of enough agencies to buy organic products (98.40%).
