The current study was conducted with the aim to investigate about the adoption level of kitchen gardening among the trained beneficiary farmers under Farmer FIRST Project (FFP) implemented by GADVASU, Ludhiana. A total of 300 trained respondents were selected from operational area of project and data was collected by personally interviewing the farmers. Results revealed that almost all the beneficiary farmers were growing squash melon, turnip, carrot, spinach, menthi and brinjal. Among non-recommended vegetables, broccoli was prominently cultivated by farmers and most of the farmers were planting vegetables in less than the recommended area for the cultivation. The study has been concluded with impression that the kitchen gardening has been adopted by majority of the beneficiaries under Farmer FIRST Project and similarly more of such trainings can be organized for adoption of new technologies in agriculture and allied sectors.
