Abstract

Information and communication issues have been emerging as a crucial tool for enhancing agricultural production. Farmers need information on every critical stage of crop cultivation. The present study was conducted in four districts of Haryana. Further, two blocks were selected, randomly from each of districts and from each block, two villages were chosen, randomly and fifteen respondents from each village were selected. Thus, a total of 240 respondents were interviewed personally at their respective places. Present study revealed that in infrastructural constraints the majority of farmers were faced lack of training on specific aspects as most severe constraint. In technical constraints difficulty in making use of given theoretical Information was most severe constraints ranked first. In economic constraints high cost of multimedia mobile phones was most severe constraints and ranked first. In miscellaneous constraints adoption of prescribed technologies is very low considered most severe constraints and ranked first.
