An Analysis of Enterprises set up by Trained Entrepreneurs

An enterprise is a business organization that provides goods and services, creates jobs, contributes to national income, imports, and exports, and above all, helps in sustainable economic development. Entrepreneurs trained by PAU Ludhiana, who were provided stalls at subsidized rates by the University during the Kisan Mela (September 2019) organized by PAU were selected as the respondents for the study. Data was collected personally from 64 entrepreneurs. The findings of the study revealed that the majority of enterprises were functioning as SHG and 45.31 per cent were motivated by PAU expert’s outstations. It can be concluded that there were more new enterprises and very few enterprises were practically being run in SHG mode even though they were registered as an SHG.
