Abstract

As the country’s elderly population rises swiftly and many elderly people desire to stay in their homes, challenges regarding price and physical accessibility to many amenities may make them feel constrained. During these changing times, the country faces a new severe concern i.e. an ageing population. There is a need to provide a variety of housing options that meet all of the needs of the elderly while also providing a sense of safety, satisfaction, and independence. Housing qualities can have an impact on a person’s physical health, emotional health, level of autonomous physical activity, home satisfaction, and social connectivity. As a result, the necessity for alternative age-friendly alternate living arrangements for the elderly must be considered.
