Abstract

The study was conducted in Uttar Pradesh to assess the impact of KVK training program for adoption of agricultural technology. It was emphasizing the core role of women in Indian agriculture, particularly sustainable agricultural, rural development, addressing socio-economic and environmental sustainability etc. The study utilized an Ext-post Facto research design, employing a multistage sampling approach. Data gathering involved personal interviews using standard schedules designed for the study’s purposes, exploring the significant influence of a training program on farm women and examining its hypothesized effects. The study conducted in 2021-2022, involved a randomly selected sample of 120 farm women. The analysis of the data employed various statistical methods, including paired t-tests. Post-training, there was a notable 30.55 per cent increase in overall technology adoption. Plant protection training received the highest rank, emphasizing its perceived utility whereas fish farming was lowest rank. The paired t-test confirmed the statistically significant improvements. Recommendations aim to foster an inclusive and sustainable agricultural landscape by recognizing and utilizing women’s substantial potential as pivotal contributors to agricultural development.
