The aesthetic worth of flowers in our regular life can never be overplayed, as the same way it represents holiness, allure, calmness, tenderness and devotion. The study was conducted to investigate the economics of flowers by farmers in Punjab. Marigold and gladiolus flower crops prominently grown in Punjab were selected purposively. A total of eighty farmers were selected for this study. Data were collected by personally visiting the study area and interviewing the farmers. It could be observed that 62.5 per cent had Rs. 7.70 - Rs.13.75 lakhs income from the marigold crop in an agriculture year and 70 per cent of the gladiolus growers had an annual income of Rs. 3.03–9.88 lakhs. The computed average benefit-to-cost ratio was 2.08 and 1.59 for marigold and gladiolus respectively.
