Women are the leading workforces in India which plays major role in societal and economy development. Microfinance scheme is intended to provide financial support to the poor by creating self-employment opportunities and thereby improving the living standards of beneficiaries. The SHG model governs microfinance program in India. Women empowerment is considered as one of the prime tasks for development of economy. The study was conducted in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh during 2022-23 with 360 women respondents from 120 SHG groups in 30 villages. Purposive-cum-random-sampling design was used for finalizing the Rayalaseema region and villages. Hierarchical regression and descriptive statistics were used for drawing the connections between women empowerment and selected independent variables. Four sets of models (demographic, entrepreneurial, SHG group factor, and extension-related) were included for identifying individual impact of variables towards women empowerment and all enclosed models showed significance with R2 of 61.4. Entrepreneurial variable contributed major proportion for the women empowerment in selected area. Sociological, economic, psychological, and political dimensions of women empowerment should be focused individually by government, NGOs, Mandala Samaikhyas for holistic development of women in society.
