India is the largest jute producing country of the world. In order to accelerate the jute production, Govt. of India has implemented Jute-ICARE project to enrich the knowledge and skill of the jute growers by involving various Institutions. The present study was undertaken to know the effectiveness of training programme conducted for the Master Trainers engaged in Jute-ICARE programme. The data were collected through personal interview with the participants. It was revealed that mean knowledge score of pre-training (14.06) increased in post-training (16.84) phase. Personal attribute of the respondents like education, job experience, previous training exposure and satisfaction level were positively correlated with gain in knowledge score. The respondents felt that the trainings were highly useful in improving their work efficiency. The overall impact of the trainings on the participants was found to be significant and encouraging.
