Abstract

The study was conducted in Udham Singh district of Uttarakhand to analyze the standard of living of women entrepreneurs. The total sample size for the study was 113. Categorization of the respondents as per standard of living index revealed that most of the respondents were in the medium and high SLI level. Nutritional status assessment revealed that majority of the respondents had non-vegetarian diet and fell in the overweight and obese category. Impact of demographic variable on the standard of living status of the respondents revealed that educational qualification and clinical symptoms of nutritional deficiency showed a positive effect whereas morbidity status showed a negative correlation. The study revealed that the overall life of the respondents is not very uncomfortable however serious attention is required to improve their health and motivate them towards a more active lifestyle and income generating activities.
