The study was conducted in Manipur, India with the objectives of examine the extent of social sustainability of black rice growers at farm level during the year of 2022-23. A sample of 120 black rice growers consisting of 60 respondents from Imphal West and district of Manipur. Snowball sampling method adopted for the selection of respondents from study area. Finding showed that majority of farmers educated up to secondary and higher secondary level of education. The black rice was highly associated with the cultural value of the state’s community, so farmers produced with mutual cooperation. Most of farmers were found under moderate sustainable category which can be improved by adopting the training on scientific method of cultivation, development of cooperative society and self-help group in the state.
