This study examines youth migration from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, exploring the multifaceted factors influencing their migration decisions. Pull factors such as better educational opportunities, improved healthcare facilities, and enhanced infrastructure in urban centres attract youth seeking personal and professional advancement. Conversely, push factors including limited agricultural opportunities, cultural constraints, and economic pressures contribute to migration motivations. Using a logistic regression model, the study identifies significant predictors like education level and migrant contacts impacting migration aspirations. These findings underscore the complex interplay of socio-economic dynamics shaping migration patterns and advocate for targeted policies to retain youth while fostering sustainable development on the islands.
