Knowledge of farm women about recommended technologies related to improved cauliflower cultivation in Udaipur district, Rajasthan

Abstract

Vegetables are beneficial for the maintenance of human health which deliver nutritive and balanced diet. This work considers the cauliflower, it is a popular rabi season vegetable crop that grown in whole the country. Curd, the edible part of cauliflower, is composed of a stalk system with small internodes, apices, bracts, and branches. It is enriched with a high-quality vitamins, proteins and variety of minerals such as potassium, sodium, iron, phosphorus, calcium, and magnesium. This research study was conducted in four panchayat samities of Udaipur district of Rajasthan purposively selected based on the highest area and production. This work is experimented through a sample of 89 cauliflower growers that was selected from sixteen villages using a proportionate random sampling technique. Data were collecting using structured interview schedule. It was found that 91.50 per cent respondents were categorized with average knowledge while 5 percent of respondents had poor knowledge and 3.5 percent of respondents had good knowledge about recommended technologies related to cauliflower cultivation.
