Present study was carried out to investigate the workplace environment and facilities provided to the workers in candle manufacturing units. Field survey was conducted in six candle manufacturing units of Ludhiana city from which 120 respondents were selected purposively. Data was collected with the help of interview schedule. Results revealed that respondents spend 6-9 hours daily at the workplace and had 7 to 11 year of experience in making candles. Workplace conditions of the candle manufacturing units in different sections were not upto the mark as there was lack of filtered drinking water and sanitary facilities. None of the units provided Personal Protective Clothing kit to the workers. Temperature level was found higher and illumination level was found lower than the recommended level in all the sections of candle manufacturing units. The air quality was poor and the concentration of PM 2.5 was higher than the recommended limits.
