Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most important staple crops globally, serving as the primary food source for over half of the world’s population. The present study was conducted in Punjab state to assess the knowledge level of farmers about the recommended rice IPM practices A total of 200 farmers were randomly selected from five district i.e. Ropar, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, Shri Muktsar sahib, Ferozpur representing different agro-climatic zones of Punjab. Majority of the farmers had medium level of mass media exposure and extension contacts. Most of the farmers had medium level of overall knowledge regarding the cultural, mechanical and chemical practices of IPM however they lacked knowledge on ETL of insect-pest. The overall knowledge about the biological practices were found low.
