The present research work was carried out to analyze the content and coverage of livestock information broadcast by All India Radio, Bareilly and to know its utility as perceived by livestock owners in four purposively selected blocks of Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Content analysis of the two programme namely Kheti kisani and Kisan vaani, over a period of two months was carried out. To analyze the coverage of livestock information and to know the utility of the programme a total of 120 programme listeners and 40 programme non-listeners were sampled from selected blocks. In both the programmes (Kheti kisani and Kisan vaani), livestock information was given lesser importance in terms of frequency and time devoted whereas entertainment was given more priority.
