India accounts for 20 per cent of the world's goat population with annual growth rate of 1.6 per cent. Jamunapari is a dual purpose (milk and meat) goat breed, mainly found in the undulated land of Chakarnagar between the ravines of Yamuna and Chambal rivers in Etawah district (26.8° north latitude and 79.3° east longitude) of Uttar Pradesh, India. This breed has great potential in the region. With this background to sustain goat production of Jamunapari goat in Etawah district, present study was conducted with 80 respondents to know the technological adoption gaps and constraints of information gaps existing in the study area. In feeding, breeding and health management practices maximum technological formation gap was observed. Inadequate veterinary help, infrequent purchasing of new goats, labour problems, attacks by wild animals, and seasonal shortages of forage were perceived as the main constraints in sustaining Jamunapari goat rearing in the study area.
