Several developmental programmes have been initiated in India since independence to improve the socio-economic conditions of farming community. Dairying is considered as a profitable enterprise in agriculture and constitutes an important activity for accelerating the rural economy of the country. Youth is the golden period of conceptual construction and creative ideas in the life of human being. They are an immense reservoir of strength, which if properly channelized can be a source of tremendous power to the nation. The study shows that all the variables studied exhibited positive and significant association with attitude towards the artificial insemination programme. Regression analysis revealed that age, occupation and knowledge about dairy innovation emerged as the most potent factors towards the Artificial Insemination (AI) programme.
