Abstract

The study was conducted in Aterna village in Sonepat district of Haryana where 60 farmers (small, medium and large) were proportionately selected as the sample of the study. The socio-economic and psycho-personal varaibles like land holding, education, social participation, socio-economic status, extension orientation and scientific orientation were found to be positively while farming experience was found to be negatively correlated with the entrepreneurial behavior of the farmers. The leadership and entrepreneurial role of Shri Kanwal Singh Chauhan was significant for the entrepreneurial development. The support from Government organizations especially support given by Directorate of Maize Research, New Delhi and private organization was the key factor for the success of entreprenurial venture.
