The Food Security is one of the major concerns of North Eastern Region of India because of large gap in demand and local supply of almost all food items. Food security defined as access by all people at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life. In this paper food security of fish farmers of Tripura was assessed using Clustering Techniques. Through clustering, respondents were classified into two clusters, Cluster I & Cluster II indicating poor and better level of food access, respectively. The large segment of fish farmers (73 percent) were classed in cluster-I showing poor level of access to food by the farmers. However it is noticed that even the families belong to cluster I was mitigating their nutritional deficiency of protein by taking more fish.
