The present study was conducted on commercial litchi orchards of bearing stage (15–20 yearss) cv. Shahi, in five districts of Bihar viz. Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, East Champaran, West Champaran and technology adoption response was observed for selected improved technologies in terms of quantum of quality production and economic return. The study comprised of the comparison between farmers practice (traditional) and package of improved practices demonstrated. Farmers’ acceptability was lowest for the technology for canopy management (17.0%), while it was recorded highest (44.6%) for pests management. The adoption of technology, found to be associated with higher quality fruits under extra class and increase in net return. It is clear from the study that impact of technologies and acceptability by farmers were associated with the participatory approach (research), knowledge sharing mechanism for breaking ignorance and creating awareness which ultimately affected the production, agro-ecological conditions and socio-cultural aspects of the targeted litchi growers of the region.
