The present study assessed the impact of Active Learning Programme on the development of rural Aganwadi children, both boys and girls between the age of 2½ years to 5½ years attending Aganwadi of Sriganganagarr district. A standardized developmental assessment checklist was used for pre and post test of active learning programme covering a sample of 60 boys and 60 girls. The significant differences were found in the pre and post test mean of the both boys and girls. From the results, it can be concluded that if the Aganwadi children are exposed to active learning programme promoting development then they have more opportunities for optimal learning and overall development.
