Knowledge and Adoption Level of Flower Cultivation in Jammu Region

Abstract

A study to ascertain different knowledge and adoption behaviour of farmers was conducted in Jammu region of Jammu & Kashmir State with 240 farmer respondents selected by random sampling. The results indicated that among six farm practices, agronomic component and harvesting component had higher knowledge level among marigold growers, while harvesting component and agronomic component had higher adoption among marigold growers. The study further reveals that among five farm practices, agronomic component and harvesting component had higher knowledge and adoption level. Majority of the flower growers had least knowledge and adoption about trainingof plant component, manureand fertilizers component and plant protection component.
