Knowledge of Young Dairy Farmers Regarding Scientific Dairy Farming Practices in Manipur

Abstract

The study was conducted purposively in four plain districts of Manipur state using multi-stage stratified random sampling technique. Total 160 respondents were selected for this study, data were collected by personal interview method and subjected to statistical analysis. Findings revealed that majority (69.38%) of the respondents possessed medium level of knowledge on scientific dairy farming practices followed by high (15.62%) and low (15.00%) level of knowledge, respectively. It was also evident that highest knowledge level was found in areas of management. The lowest knowledge level of 55.38 per cent was recorded in case of feeding and ranked last out of all the four attributes under scientific dairy farming practices.
