Sugarcane is an important commercial crop in Burhanpur. This study was conducted in Burhanpur district, with the sample size of 120 respondents. The findings revealed that majority of sugarcane growers (70.83%) had medium level of technological gap in adoption of ISCP. Further, it revealed that 93.75 per cent technological gap index (TGI) was observed in use of green manure, 90.41 per cent in bio-fertilizer application, 83.75 per cent in soil testing, 80.41 per cent in seed treatment, 77.08 per cent in disease management, 47.91 per cent in fertilizer application, 47.50 per cent in improved varieties, 42.08 per cent in ratoon management, 39.58 per cent in organic manure application, 37.08 per cent in irrigation management, 35.00 per cent in earthing up, 34.58 per cent in seed selection, 22.91 per cent in seed rate, 22.08 per cent in spacing, 18.75 per cent in soil preparation and 10.00 per cent in soil selection. Technological gap existed between the available recommended technology and its actual adoption by the farmers. The findings of this study will serve as guidance for research and extension workers to work in a farmer's perspective line for increasing the productivity and minimizing the existing technological gap in sugarcane cultivation.
