Abstract

Dr. C.K Prahalad one of the great management thinkers of modern times passed away on Friday April 16, 2010 in California, United States. While his name is synonymous with the Bottom - of - Pyramid theory in more recent years his impact on management literature and practice of business globally has been significant for a long time.He was rated by the University of Michigan as the most influential management -thought leader twice in a row and was listed amongst world's top management gurus. He was the first Indian of International stature who had broken the glass ceiling of Anglo-Saxon dominance in management theories. It was because of him that the other Indian academics started getting recognized for their management theories.JCMT through this feature pays tribute to late Dr C K Prahalad.
