Abstract

The corporate bond market is a key financial market for corporate entities to borrow funds directly from the surplus units with a low cost. The good policies, rules and market structure make the corporate bond efficient and attract the market participants to participate in the market. The Thai corporate bond market is undeveloped and, therefore, can learn from the innovations and experiences of the Indian corporate bond market, which are similar to the stages of market development in the Thai counterpart. To make the Thai bond market development efficient, the authorities should sincerely and constantly put forth their efforts to develop the bond market.
