A study on education related goals and achievement based on millennium development goals and sustainable development goals Bangladesh perspective

Abstract

The study attempts to seek answers to the questions related to education system as well as achievements of millennium development goals (MDGs) and sustainable development goals (SDGs).From the study the researcher have found that, Bangladesh has achieved remarkable progress in education related MDGs and After end of the Millennium Development goals, now Bangladesh is on the way to achieving the Sustainable development goals also. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) came into being as succession of MDGs. Although the access to primary education is in good shape, the quality of education is a matter of concern. Sustainable development goals have to be achieved by 2030 which is also known as agenda 2030. Bangladesh is committed to fulfilling Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which is successor of MDGs. The government of Bangladesh is very sincere in implementing the SDG. The targets of the Seventh Five-Year Plan are set out in the light of the SDG. So implementing this five year plan will mean strengthening the basis of the SDG implementation.
