The paper is based on the study of 188 members of the staff (teaching, non teaching) of CBSE Schools in Nagpur. The effectiveness of employees in Schools is dependent on variables such as their education, training obtained, age and salaries etc. The employers consider opportunities for promotion and income from salary as the important considerations that affect efficiency of work. The staff members expect 'length of service' as the main basis of assignment of work and promotion. They also expect more opportunities of training and exposure.
