Financing the MSMEs is one of the major problems faced by contemporary owners of MSMEs in manufacturing sector. Some estimates suggests that commercial banks provide about one third of the total capital for small businesses. The census of SSI s found that 14.26% of the registered units availed bank finance, while only 3.09% of the unregistered units had access to bank finance. This means that 97% of the small enterprises were deprived of the institutional credit. Hence the researchers have taken keen interest to study the relationship between banks and MSMEs units and extent of financial services provided by banks. the Study covered the enterprises which were running in Cuddalore town as well as enterprises located in and around Cuddalore within 8 km circle. This is a typical response survey.
