Although mining is a vital sector for the growth and development of a country still there are many problems associated with it. The problems are cropping up mainly due to the extensive illegal mining taking place all over without showing concern for the environment, the problems faced by the locals and the requirements of our future generation. This article gives an overview of illegal mining in India with main emphasis on illegal mining in Goa.
