The purpose of this paper is to present the findings of a research project on the adoption of electronic human resource management (E-HRM); the research model was formulated based on Davis’ technology acceptance model. The study used a selfstructured questionnaire that was administered to 150 HR professionals from the private hospitals in three major cities of northern India. The HR professionals answered the questions based on their experience in the healthcare industry regarding the use of e-HRM system. The empirical evidence gives an idea of the major adoption factors that the HR professionals have in mind when the organization tries to implement an e-HRM system. Findings indicate how important HR professionals view the implementation of an e-HRM in their department and the various variables that effect their perception. It was found that cost-reduction; improved decision-making and perceived ease of use are major factors influencing the adoption of e-HRM in Indian healthcare sector.
