Abstract

Stress may be defined as "a state of psychological and/or physiological imbalance resulting from the disparity between situational demand and the individual's ability and/or motivation to meet those demands." Stress leads to many diseases like cancer, mental disorder, and hypertension. Stress management is need of an hour. The primary data is collected through the questionnaire from the 100 employees of 10 IT companies. The paper shows the information of the level of stress which the employees are facing as particularly in IT sector and how satisfied are they with their stress management strategies in their organization. It is found that with changing period the workload for the existing employees is also increasing. So they are facing the problem of work overload and thus they get stressed.
