Cycles are one of the most clean and the most sustainable forms of transport. In addition to their environmental contribution, cycles for low-income population are a means to enhance their socio-economic well-being. Growth in cycle ownership in India over the last one decade has been very slow. The level of exports by Indian manufacturers is quite low. In this study attempt has been made to understand the activities undertaken by government in boosting bicycle exports through Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and how these organizations helps in boosting SMEs exports. It is found that exporters are highly satisfied with the few of the services provided by EEPC in the form of weekly newsletter, hosting and hyper linking website and export financing but they are not satisfied with services like visa assistance, receiving live leads, participation in exhibitions, professional advice service, documentation procedure and availing quick incentives from the government. The exporters are of the view that council should simplify its procedure and provide the information related to products & data of buyers from time to time. The council should act as an effective link between the government & industry.
