Demonetization created a situation in the Indian economy by dropping sales in almost all businesses. Indian customers have a habit of making payments through cash and demonetization has made an attempt to change this habit of payment and hence this has made India to go through a phase of cashless economy which brings better governance, transparency and ethicality in business operations and transactions.
The question which needs to be answered here is whether Indian customer is ready for such a change and whether this cashless economy will lead to better governance, transparency and ethicality in financial operation of individual or corporation and hence the following paper makes an attempt to understand the perception of customers towards cashless payments. The sample of respondents is selected from the SPP University campus at Pune.
