Abstract

A serological survey of BTV antibodies was carried out by BT-AGID and c-ELISA in Camels of North Gujarat and Kachchh regions. Out of 657 serum samples, BT-AGID test detect antibodies against BTV in 94 cases (14.30%) while c-ELISA test was positive in 160 cases (24.35%). c-ELISA was found to be the better choice in terms of sensitivity and specificity for a large scale seroprevalence study on BTV in camels.
