Study of constraints perceived by member milk producers of MPCS

Abstract

The study was conducted in Merrut district of Uttar Pradesh with the sample of 120 respondents (member milk producers of MPCS) selected by proportionate random sampling. The study revealed that MPCS were headed by middle age group, milk producers and were educated up to primary and middle school. They had medium level of extension contact, mass media exposure and satisfaction towards co-operative societies. Education, land holding, social participation had significant relationship with the attitude and satisfaction towards dairy co-operative societies. Among the constraints it was found that infrastructural constraints was the most seriousness as perceived by member milk producers.
